Mastering Communication Influence Level 2: One-to-One Communication. In this 20-minutes you will learn the fundamentals of communicating to influence in a one-on-one situation and provides a specific framework with an actual sample script to help you craft what you want and need to say in a challenging conversation so that you bring specificity and clarity. But, there is foundational work you need to do first to have the right to have that influencing conversation and this session provides that summary of strategies for that as well.

1 Hour Version Description: In the one-hour version of this topic your team will learn everything in the 20-minute version and engage in a deep dive, interactive activity to work on specific actions and behaviors to build the foundations required for earning the right to exert positive influence with project team members.
Workshop Version Description: The full workshop of this session is offered in a half-day (3-hours) or a full-day (6-hours). In the three hour version we will develop a deep understanding of the three foundations outlined in the shorter versions and will learn the seven biggest communication mistakes (The 7 Deadliest Communication SINs), that prevent project leaders from building the relationship to the high-trust, high-respect level required to earn the right to exert positive influence. Participants will be introduced to the influencing conversation model and leave with a script template. The full-day, six-hour version provides opportunities for participants to practice using the influencing script template with partners for a real-time, real-life conversation they need to engage in. Participants will get feedback on their words and language, their tone and body language from a real human being on the other side and be able to adjust in additional practice sessions in the second half of the day.
