Therese Pitt

Therese is a Canadian born Performance Coach who now calls Berlin home. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Music degree (instrument: Voice) from the University of Western Ontario and is a certified teacher of the Alexander Technique.
She has spent more than 20 years on stage as a professional actor and singer, travelling through both North America and Europe in such shows as Cats, The Friedrichstadt-Palast, Pomp Duck and Circum-stance, and Stars in Concert – she knows what it is to stand in front of an audience.
Over the years, she became increasingly interested in the psychological and emotional aspects of per-formance. Through her own personal on-stage experience, as well as her role as singing teacher, vocal coach and Business English teacher, she discovered that many fundamental acting and vocal tech-niques were equally effective in helping her clients enhance their performances in a public speaking setting.
Presenting songs, monologues, sales pitches and speeches are similar emotionally, vocally and physi-cally. Dealing with preparation, setting the tone, having a specific intention, an authentic style and learning how to deal with nerves will enhance any public speaking experience.
Using proven acting and vocal techniques, she says “I’ve found it exciting and rewarding to help speak-ers and performers overcome obstacles, find their own personal style and reach their full potential.”
