A free event for anyone, at any chapter, who is concerned or responsible for content provision, member retention and chapter growth. 

What percentage of your membership are you engaging with each year?  The answer is NOT the total registration of all events divided into your chapter membership number.  Take that list and de-dup it first.  THIS is the answer.  How many different email addresses are you providing content and/or an experience to? It should be well above 50%!

After losing about 20% of our members through the pandemic, all chapters must be thinking seriously about how to retain their members and gain the lost ones back.

Wearing your member’s hat, not your board of director’s hat, I ask you, what’s going to keep you returning as a member?

I think the answer is easy.  If I attend just one event, virtual or in person, and learn, meet someone new or just earn a PDU or two – I will return.  For every individual member that you can engage in at least one of your chapter events, the chance of retaining him/her/they the following year, increases exponentially.

Let’s talk about how we can engage our members going forward.  Is it the same old approach or do we have to change it up?
