Every business, company, employer needs to have a safety program. The safety program standards, implementation criteria & monitoring responsibility needs to be established before contract award. You do not want to be dealing with an employer who does not have a safety program.
Safety training takes time and costs money. Depending on the situation it could take hours or days. These costs have to be allowed for in your project budget.
