Responsible Project Management

Nigel Willams

In this video, I provide an overview of Responsible Project Management (RPM) which is a movement* that aims to transform beliefs about project management. The recently released IPCC 6 report is a call to action for Project Managers to work with organizations, instutions and communities to combat climate change. Bringing together professional practitioners, educators, researchers, and students, RPM encourages Project Professionals (Project Managers, Program Managers and Portfolio Managers) to embrace their responsibility to society and the environment. RPM seeks to develop new understandings and to support project practitioners in developing new competencies to navigate the complexities of the social, environmental, and economic context of a project.

* RPM is a community of project professionals from education, research and practice. For more information, please visitwww.ResponsiblePM.com
