Negotiate Decisions to Yes Through AI Optics – Part 1

Project managers negotiate every day, often without naming it. Scope, risk, and priorities are continuously traded under pressure. Most project failures are not execution failures. They are decisions that were negotiated poorly and then embedded into delivery.

This session reframes negotiation from a conversation skill into a decision system.

Frameworks such as BATNA, ZOPA, anchoring, and principled negotiation will be examined in the conditions where they break. They assume the ability to walk away, balanced power, and transparent interests. In projects, constraints are fixed, authority is uneven, and commitments are already in motion.

The focus shifts from persuasion to decision architecture: how constraints are surfaced, how options are constructed, and how timing shapes what becomes possible.

AI is introduced as a training environment for negotiation. It enables simulation of scenarios and exposure to constraints that remain invisible in live conversations.
